1.2relating to capital investment; appropriating money for facilities for the Iron
1.3Range engineering program at Mesabi Range Community and Technical College;
1.4authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. IRON RANGE ENGINEERING PROGRAM FACILITIES;
1.7VIRGINIA.
1.8 Subdivision 1. Appropriation. $6,000,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
1.9fund to the Board of Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities for Mesabi
1.10Range Community and Technical College to design, construct, furnish, and equip an
1.11addition to and remodeling of existing space for the Iron Range engineering program,
1.12including laboratory spaces, other learning spaces, and improvements to the entrance, and
1.13to acquire a privately owned housing facility on the campus.
1.14 Subd. 2. Bond sale. To provide the money appropriated in this section from the
1.15bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue
1.16bonds of the state in an amount up to $6,000,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with
1.17the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the
1.18Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
1.19EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
