1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to transportation; requiring a transfer from the general fund for highway
1.3purposes; appropriating money.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.5    Section 1. TRANSPORTATION FUNDING; TRANSFER, APPROPRIATIONS.
1.6    Subdivision 1. Transfer. On or before July 31, 2014, the commissioner of
1.7management and budget shall transfer $400,000,000 from the general fund to the highway
1.8user tax distribution fund.
1.9    Subd. 2. Appropriations. (a) The amount transferred under this section and
1.10allocated to the trunk highway fund is appropriated in fiscal year 2015 to the commissioner
1.11of transportation for state road construction, and is added to the appropriations under Laws
1.122013, chapter 117, article 1, section 3, subdivision 3, paragraph (c).
1.13(b) The amount transferred under this section and allocated to the county state-aid
1.14highway fund is appropriated to the commissioner of transportation for the purposes
1.15specified under Minnesota Statutes, chapter 162, and is added to the appropriation
1.16under Laws 2013, chapter 117, article 1, section 3, subdivision 4, paragraph (a). This
1.17appropriation is available until spent.
1.18(c) The amount transferred under this section and allocated to the municipal state-aid
1.19street fund is appropriated to the commissioner of transportation for the purposes specified
1.20under Minnesota Statutes, chapter 162, and is added to the appropriation under Laws
1.212013, chapter 117, article 1, section 3, subdivision 4, paragraph (b). This appropriation
1.22is available until spent.
1.23EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective July 1, 2014.
