1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. MODIFICATION TO SEX OFFENDER SENTENCING GRID.
1.6Notwithstanding the modification procedures described in Minnesota Statutes,
1.7section 244.09, subdivision 11, and Minnesota Rules, chapter 3000, the Sentencing
1.8Guidelines Commission, acting without a public hearing, shall modify the sex offender
1.9sentencing grid to ensure that it provides for an increase of not greater than 20 percent and
1.10a decrease of not greater than 15 percent in the presumptive fixed sentence. The modified
1.11grid shall be effective immediately upon issuance by the commission.
1.12EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
