1.2relating to education; amending provisions relating to teacher candidates passing
1.3a basic skills examination.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. ONE-YEAR LICENSES.
1.6Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 122A.18, subdivision 2, as
1.7amended by Laws 2012, chapter 122, section 2, a person who has obtained a one-year
1.8license to teach but has not passed the skills examination may continue to teach and must
1.9pass the skills examination by January 1, 2014.
1.10EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective retroactively from February 22, 2012.
