1.2relating to game and fish; allowing persons age 55 or older to hunt with a
1.3crossbow;amending Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 97B.035, subdivision 1.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 97B.035, subdivision 1, is amended to read:
1.6 Subdivision 1. Hunting with bows released by mechanical devices. (a) A person
1.7may not hunt with a bow drawn, held, or released by a mechanical device, except with
1.8a disabled hunter permit issued under section97B.106 or as provided in paragraph
1.9paragraphs (b) and (c).
1.10(b) A person may use a mechanical device attached to the bowstring if the person's
1.11own strength draws, holds, and releases the bowstring.
1.12(c) A person age 55 or older may hunt with a bow drawn, held, and released by a
1.13mechanical device.
