1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to health; establishing packaging requirements for acetaminophen pills;
1.3proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 145.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.5    Section 1. [145.57] PACKAGING OF ACETAMINOPHEN; SUICIDE
1.6PREVENTION.
1.7(a) Upon approval by the federal food and drug administration, all over-the-counter
1.8capsules or tablets containing acetaminophen sold in the state must be packaged in
1.9blister packs.
1.10(b) For purposes of this section, "blister packs" means dosage units individually
1.11sealed in clear plastic or plastic compartments with foil or paper backing.
