A bill for an act

relating to taxation; property; authorizing Itasca County to issue general
obligation bonds for the county nursing home;amending Laws 2003, chapter
127, article 12, section 28.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

    Section 1. Laws 2003, chapter 127, article 12, section 28, is amended to read:
    Sec. 28. NURSING HOME BONDS AUTHORIZED.
    Itasca County may issue bonds under Minnesota Statutes, sections 376.55 and
376.56 , to finance the construction of a 35-bed nursing home facility to replace an existing
35-bed private facility located in the county. The bonds issued under this section must
may be payable solely from revenues and or may not be general obligations of the county.
EFFECTIVE DATE; LOCAL APPROVAL.This section is effective the day after
compliance by the governing body of Itasca County and its chief clerical officer with
Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021, subdivisions 2 and 3.
