1.2relating to public employment; changing the definition of a confidential
1.3employee;amending Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 179A.03, subdivision 4.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 179A.03, subdivision 4, is amended to read:
1.6 Subd. 4. Confidential employee. "Confidential employee" means an employee
1.7who as part of the employee's job duties:
1.8(1)has access to is required to access and use labor relations information as that
1.9term is defined in section13.37, subdivision 1 , paragraph (c); or
1.10(2) actively participates in the meeting and negotiating on behalf of the public
1.11employer.
1.12EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
