1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 3.012, is amended to read:
1.63.012 LEGISLATIVE DAY.
1.7A For the purposes of article IV, section 12, of the Minnesota Constitution, a
1.8 legislative day is a day when either house of the legislatureis called to order gives any bill
1.9a second or third reading, adopts a rule of procedure or organization, elects a university
1.10regent, or confirms a gubernatorial appointment. A legislative day begins at seven o'clock
1.11a.m. and continues until seven o'clock a.m. of the following calendar day.
