1.2relating to insurance; modifying the definition of a health plan company;
1.3proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 645.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. [645.446] HEALTH PLAN COMPANIES.
1.6The term "health plan company" or "health plan companies," when used in
1.7Minnesota Statutes or Minnesota Rules, does not apply to an entity that offers, sells,
1.8issues, or renews only products expressly excluded from the definition of a health plan
1.9under section 62A.011, subdivision 3, clauses (1), (4), (8), and (9), except in sections
1.103.7394; 62A.021; 62J.80; 72A.139; and 72A.20, or unless otherwise specified.
