1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to capital investment; appropriating money for replacement of two
1.3school facilities for the Rushford-Peterson school district; authorizing the sale
1.4and issuance of state bonds.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.6    Section 1. RUSHFORD-PETERSON SCHOOL DISTRICT, INDEPENDENT
1.7SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 239.
1.8    Subdivision 1. Appropriation. $20,000,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
1.9fund to the commissioner of education for a cooperative facilities grant to Independent
1.10School District No. 239, Rushford-Peterson, under Minnesota Statutes, sections 123A.44
1.11to 123A.446, to predesign, design, construct, furnish, and equip a single prekindergarten
1.12through grade 12 school facility of approximately 156,037 square feet on a site owned by
1.13the school district in the city of Rushford, notwithstanding the limit set forth in Minnesota
1.14Statutes, section 123A.446.
1.15    Subd. 2. Bond sale. To provide the money appropriated in this section from the
1.16bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue
1.17bonds of the state in an amount up to $20,000,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with
1.18the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the
1.19Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
1.20EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
