1.2relating to capital improvements; authorizing the issuance of state bonds;
1.3appropriating money to design and construct improvements to the Mayo Civic
1.4Center Complex in Rochester.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. MAYO CIVIC CENTER COMPLEX.
1.7 Subdivision 1. Appropriation. $34,000,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
1.8fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to the
1.9city of Rochester to design, construct, furnish, and equip the renovation and expansion of
1.10the Mayo Civic Center Complex.
1.11 Subd. 2. Bond sale. To provide the money appropriated in this act from the bond
1.12proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue bonds of
1.13the state in an amount up to $34,000,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with the effect
1.14prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota
1.15Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
1.16 Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE.
1.17This act is effective the day following final enactment.
