1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. [363A.111] TV CAPTIONING REQUIRED.
1.7Each place of public accommodation located within the state must enable open
1.8captioning on any television or other audiovisual display capable of captioning at all times
1.9that it uses television or other audiovisual displays to provide information or entertainment
1.10to the public. The captions must be high-contrast to the extent feasible. Whenever a place
1.11of public accommodation acquires a new television or audiovisual display technology, it
1.12must acquire one with high-contrast captioning capability.
