1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE
1.6DEMONSTRATION GRANTS.
1.7$280,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2014 and $280,000 is appropriated in fiscal
1.8year 2015 from the general fund to the commissioner of agriculture for grants to farmers
1.9for sustainable agriculture demonstration projects under Minnesota Statutes, section
1.1017.116. Of the amount appropriated each year, the commissioner of agriculture may use up
1.11to $20,000 to disseminate information about the demonstration projects. Notwithstanding
1.12Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.28, the appropriations encumbered under contract on or
1.13before June 30, 2015, are available until June 30, 2017.
