1.2relating to motor fuels; barring motor fuel franchise agreements that prohibit

1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. [80C.1445] MOTOR FUEL FRANCHISES; ETHANOL BLENDING
1.7PUMPS.
1.8A franchise agreement, marketing agreement, or any other contract or directive of a
1.9franchisor relating to the terms or conditions of the sale of motor fuel by a franchisee or
1.10customer and subject to this chapter or chapter 80F must not prohibit the franchisee or any
1.11affiliate of the franchisee from installing or operating an ethanol-blending fuel dispenser,
1.12as regulated under section 239.761, subdivision 4b.
1.13EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective August 1, 2011, and applies to any
1.14franchise agreement, marketing agreement, or other contract or directive of a franchisor
1.15relating to the terms or conditions of the sale of fuel by a franchisee or customer entered
1.16into or renewed on or after that date.
