1.2relating to liquor; authorizing the city of Duluth to issue a 3.2 malt liquor license
1.3for the premises known as Wheeler Field.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. WHEELER FIELD; 3.2 MALT LIQUOR LICENSE.
1.6Notwithstanding any law or ordinance to the contrary, the city of Duluth may issue
1.7an on-sale intoxicating liquor license for the premises known as Wheeler Field in addition
1.8to the number authorized by law. The license may authorize sales to persons attending
1.9softball games and other athletic events held at the premises. The license may authorize
1.10the sale and consumption of 3.2 malt liquor at the concession stand and approved dining
1.11area of the premises. The license may be issued to the city or to a person or corporation
1.12under contract or agreement with the city. The license authorizes sales on all days of the
1.13week. All provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 340A, not inconsistent with this
1.14section apply to the license under this section.
1.15 Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE; LOCAL APPROVAL.
1.16Section 1 is effective upon approval by the Duluth City Council and compliance
1.17with Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021.
