1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to human services; modifying funding for detoxification services;
1.3amending Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 256G.06.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.5    Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 256G.06, is amended to read:
1.6256G.06 DETOXIFICATION SERVICES.
1.7    Subdivision 1. County of financial responsibility. The county of financial
1.8responsibility for detoxification services is the county where the client is physically
1.9present when the need for services is identified. If that need is identified while the client
1.10is a resident of a chemical dependency facility, the provisions of section 256G.02,
1.11subdivision 4
, paragraphs (c) and (d), apply.
1.12    Subd. 2. Reimbursement. A county of financial responsibility under subdivision 1
1.13shall be reimbursed by the commissioner of human services for the full cost of providing
1.14detoxification services.
