1.3BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.4 Section 1. APPROPRIATION.
1.5 Subdivision 1. Department of Education. The sums indicated in this section are
1.6appropriated from the general fund to the Department of Education for the fiscal years
1.7designated.
1.8 Subd. 2. Electronic library for Minnesota. For statewide licenses to online
1.9databases and services selected in cooperation with the Minnesota Office of Higher
1.10Education for school media centers, public libraries, state government agency libraries,
1.11and public or private college or university libraries:
1.14$750,000 in fiscal year 2014 and $600,000 in fiscal year 2015 is for free online
1.15homework help services.
1.16The base for fiscal years 2016 and later is $1,500,000.
1.17Any balance in the first year does not cancel but is available in the second year.
