1.2relating to metropolitan government; providing for additional financing of
1.3metropolitan area transit and paratransit capital expenditures; authorizing the
1.4issuance of certain obligations;amending Minnesota Statutes 2012, section
1.5473.39, by adding a subdivision.
1.6BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.7 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 473.39, is amended by adding a
1.8subdivision to read:
1.9 Subd. 1s. Obligations. After July 1, 2013, in addition to other authority in this
1.10section, the council may issue certificates of indebtedness, bonds, or other obligations
1.11under this section in an amount not exceeding $35,800,000 for capital expenditures as
1.12prescribed in the council's transit capital improvement program and for related costs,
1.13including the costs of issuance and sale of the obligations.
1.14 Sec. 2. APPLICATION.
1.15Section 1 applies in the counties of Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey,
1.16Scott, and Washington.
1.17 Sec. 3. EFFECTIVE DATE.
1.18Sections 1 and 2 are effective the day following final enactment.
