1.1A house concurrent resolution
1.2relating to conference committees.
1.3WHEREAS, the Minnesota legislature must adjourn at midnight on May 23, 2011; and
1.4WHEREAS, conference committees on major finance and revenue bills must complete their
1.5work prior to that date; and
1.6WHEREAS, completion of a signable budget is necessary for the ongoing public welfare of
1.7the various peoples of the state of Minnesota; NOW, THEREFORE,
1.8BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the State of Minnesota, the Senate
1.9concurring, that it is the duty of the leaders of each body to discharge any conference committee
1.10on a major finance or revenue bill that is unable to complete its work by 12:00 noon, Monday,
1.11May 16, 2011, and to thereby appoint new members to serve on these conference committees
1.12during the remaining days of the 2011 regular session.
1.13BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives is
1.14directed to prepare an enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by his signature
1.15and those of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Chair of the Senate Rules and
1.16Administration Committee, and the Secretary of the Senate, and transmit it to the Speaker of
1.17the House and Majority Leader of the Senate.
