A bill to amend 1976 PA 388, entitled
"Michigan campaign finance act,"
(MCL 169.201 to 169.282) by adding section 55f.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 55f. (1) An officer, a shareholder, or a member of a
corporation or joint stock company who affirmatively consents to an
independent expenditure by the corporation or joint stock company
that violates this act is subject to a civil fine of not more than
$1,000.00 for each violation.
(2) A corporation or joint stock company shall annually notify
all officers, shareholders, and members of the penalties they may
be subject to under this section and section 55e.
Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect
unless Senate Bill No. 1365
of the 95th Legislature is enacted into law.
