SENATE BILL NO. 1069
A bill to amend 1954 PA 116, entitled
"Michigan election law,"
(MCL 168.1 to 168.992) by adding section 932b.
the people of the state of michigan enact:
Sec. 932b. (1) A person shall not, either directly or indirectly, give, lend, or promise any money or other consideration to the secretary of state, a county, city, township, or village, or any election official in this state to influence, either directly or indirectly, the electors to vote in person or by absent voter ballot.
(2) A person who knowingly violates this section is guilty of a felony punishable as follows:
(a) If the person is an individual, by imprisonment for not more than 5 years or a fine of not more than $1,000.00, or both.
(b) If the person is not an individual, by a fine of not more than $100,000.00.
