SENATE BILL NO. 538
A bill to amend 1979 PA 94, entitled
"The state school aid act of 1979,"
(MCL 388.1601 to 388.1896) by adding sections 227b and 275e.
the people of the state of michigan enact:
Sec. 227b. Each community college that receives an appropriation in section 201 shall consider all students who are registered to vote in this state and have previously voted in an election held in this state to be in-district residents of this state for the purpose of determining their tuition rates and fees.
Sec. 275e. Each university that receives an appropriation in section 236 shall consider all students who are registered to vote in this state and have previously voted in an election held in this state to be residents of this state for the purpose of determining their tuition rates and fees.
