A resolution to declare October 13, 2023, as Forging Day in the state of Michigan.

Whereas, The forging sector plays a crucial role in driving economic growth, creating job opportunities, and fostering innovation; and

Whereas, It is essential to recognize the hard work, dedication, and ingenuity of the individuals working in the forging industry; and

Whereas, By designating a specific day to honor and showcase forging achievements, we can raise awareness about its importance and inspire the next generation of manufacturers; and

Whereas, Friday, October 13, 2023, provides an ideal opportunity to celebrate Forging Day due to its proximity to the end of the calendar year and aligning with the traditionally celebrated Manufacturing Day events; now, therefore, be it

Resolved by the House of Representatives, That the members of this legislative body declare October 13, 2023, as Forging Day in the state of Michigan. We encourage businesses, educational institutions, and communities to organize events and activities that highlight the positive impact of the forging industry; and be it further

Resolved, That we pledge to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to promote Forging Day and actively participate in related initiatives, use its communication channels and platforms to spread awareness about Forging Day and its significance, and  advocate for government recognition and support for the forging sector through policy measures and initiatives.
