A bill to amend 1927 PA 175, entitled

"The code of criminal procedure,"

(MCL 760.1 to 777.69) by adding section 21d to chapter VIII.

the people of the state of michigan enact:

CHAPTER VIII

Sec. 21d. Notwithstanding any provision of law of this state, an individual who, or corporation or other legal entity that, does either of the following is not subject to prosecution for any criminal offense in this state for undertaking those actions:

(a) Travels to another state to obtain an abortion.

(b) Assists another individual in traveling to another state to obtain an abortion.
