A bill to amend 1976 PA 451, entitled

"The revised school code,"

(MCL 380.1 to 380.1852) by adding section 1174.

the people of the state of michigan enact:

Sec. 1174. (1) Beginning with the 2025-2026 school year, the board of a school district or intermediate school district or board of directors of a public school academy shall, upon request from at-risk pupils, provide feminine hygiene products at no cost to at-risk pupils enrolled in the school district, intermediate school district, or public school academy. Each at-risk pupil who makes a request under this subsection must receive, at a minimum, 20 tampons or menstrual pads each month for the school year.

(2) As used in this section, "at-risk pupil" means that term as defined in section 31a of the state school aid act of 1979, MCL 388.1631a.
