A bill to amend 1893 PA 206, entitled
"The general property tax act,"
(MCL 211.1 to 211.155) by adding section 7qq.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 7qq. If the principal residence of a police officer or
firefighter is located within the local tax collecting unit that
employs that police officer or firefighter, that principal
residence is exempt from the collection of all ad valorem taxes
under this act. As used in this section, "principal residence"
means property exempt as a principal residence under section 7cc.
