HOUSE BILL NO. 5403

October 14, 2021, Introduced by Reps. Sowerby, Camilleri, Weiss, Cavanagh, Aiyash and Cambensy and referred to the Committee on Regulatory Reform.

A bill to amend 1987 PA 96, entitled

"The mobile home commission act,"

(MCL 125.2301 to 125.2350) by adding section 29a.

the people of the state of michigan enact:

Sec. 29a. An owner or operator of a mobile home park or seasonal mobile home park that receives a report from a tenant of the mobile home park or seasonal mobile home park regarding an interruption to the water supply, including, but not limited to, a water main break shall, within 24 hours of the receipt of the report, notify all of the following of the interruption to the water supply:

(a) The department.

(b) The water supplier that supplies water to the mobile home park or seasonal mobile home park.

(c) The department of environment, Great Lakes, and energy.

(d) The local health department as that term is defined in section 1105 of the public health code, 1978 PA 368, MCL 333.1105.
