HOUSE BILL No. 5352

February 11, 2016, Introduced by Reps. Kosowski, LaVoy, Geiss and Dianda and referred to the Committee on Natural Resources.

 

     A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled

 

"Natural resources and environmental protection act,"

 

(MCL 324.101 to 324.90106) by adding section 1521.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 1521. Notwithstanding any other provision of this act, a

 

person that intentionally provides false information to the

 

department or the department of environmental quality in an

 

application, report, analysis, documentation, or any other

 

submittal pursuant to this act is responsible for a state civil

 

infraction and may be ordered to pay a civil fine of not more than

 

$5,000.00.

 

     Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days

 

after the date it is enacted into law.
