HOUSE BILL No. 5233

 

 

November 8, 2017, Introduced by Reps. VanderWall, Victory, Ellison, Reilly, Elder, Kahle, Leutheuser, Canfield, Noble, Chirkun, Hoitenga and Brann.

 

     A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled

 

"Natural resources and environmental protection act,"

 

(MCL 324.101 to 324.90106) by adding section 43537a.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 43537a. (1) A minor child hunting during the youth hunt

 

weekend shall purchase a youth antlerless deer license under this

 

section. A minor child hunting during the youth hunt weekend shall

 

take an antlerless deer before that minor child takes an antlered

 

deer during that weekend.

 

     (2) Only a minor child may purchase a youth antlerless deer

 

license. The fee for a youth antlerless deer license is $1.00. The

 

youth antlerless deer license is valid for taking an antlerless

 

deer only during the youth hunt weekend.
