A bill to amend 1976 PA 451, entitled
"The revised school code,"
(MCL 380.1 to 380.1852) by adding section 1280f.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 1280f. (1) Effective at the end of the 2015-2016 school
year, a public school that was previously operated by a school
district organized as a school district of the first class and is
operated during the 2015-2016 school year by an achievement
authority shall be returned to the control and operation of the
school district that previously operated that public school.
(2) As used in this section, "achievement authority" means
that term as defined in section 3 of the state school aid act of
1979, MCL 388.1603.
Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days
after the date it is enacted into law.
