A bill to amend 1976 PA 451, entitled
"The revised school code,"
(MCL 380.1 to 380.1852) by adding section 1280f.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 1280f. If the department for any purpose identifies the
achievement gap between any cohort of a public school's highest-
achieving pupils and any cohort of its lowest-achieving pupils, or
attaches a label to a public school based on such an achievement
gap, the department shall not as a result of that identification or
label impose any measures on the public school or on the school
district that operates the public school.
