HOUSE BILL No. 4838

 

June 13, 2013, Introduced by Reps. Hooker, McMillin, Lipton, Barnett, Kosowski, Robinson, Santana, Rogers, Potvin, Jenkins, McBroom, Poleski, Segal, Faris and Yonker and referred to the Committee on Education.

 

     A bill to amend 1976 PA 451, entitled

 

"The revised school code,"

 

(MCL 380.1 to 380.1852) by adding section 1279i.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 1279i. The department shall ensure that the brand name,

 

trademark, or service mark of any commercially available product or

 

service is not included in a test question or assessment assignment

 

that is part of a test or assessment that public school pupils are

 

required to take under state law.
