ENROLLED HOUSE BILL No. 4299
AN ACT to amend 2001 PA 125, entitled “An act to define the rights and responsibilities of hotels and bed and breakfasts with respect to renting or leasing hotel or bed and breakfast rooms to minors,” by amending section 4 (MCL 427.304).
The People of the State of Michigan enact:
Sec. 4. A hotel or bed and breakfast may
require that an individual provide documentary evidence confirming the age of
an individual renting or leasing a hotel room or bed and breakfast room or
documentary evidence of the emancipation of a minor, including a motor vehicle
operator’s or chauffeur’s license, a registration certificate issued by the
federal selective service, or other bona fide documentary evidence of the age
and identity of the individual or emancipation of the minor.
This act is ordered to take immediate effect.
