HOUSE BILL No. 4270

 

 

February 23, 2017, Introduced by Reps. Jones, Green, Durhal, Love, Pagan, Scott, Gay-Dagnogo, Peterson, Dianda, Liberati, Chirkun, Zemke, Greig, Schor and Lasinski and referred to the Committee on Appropriations.

 

     A bill to amend 1984 PA 431, entitled

 

"The management and budget act,"

 

(MCL 18.1101 to 18.1594) by adding section 280.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 280. Beginning October 1, 2017, if a state agency enters

 

into a procurement contract for services, the contract must provide

 

specific performance criteria and cost parameters and that the

 

state agency may cancel the contract if the contractor fails to

 

meet the specific performance criteria and cost parameters or other

 

requirements of the contract. In addition, the state agency may

 

cancel the contract at any time if the contractor fails to comply

 

with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
