| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Warren Wayne Booker Sr. of Milan, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on November 27, 2016; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Warren Booker Sr. was born in Riverton, Iowa to | ||||||
6 | David and Sussannah Evans Booker on July 14, 1935; he married | ||||||
7 | Rose Marie Hewett in Milan on December 23, 1964; he served in | ||||||
8 | the United States Navy; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Warren Booker Sr. worked for many years as a | ||||||
10 | welder at J.I. Case, retiring in 1997; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Warren Booker Sr. was a very hard worker; in his | ||||||
12 | younger years, he would come home from work and continue | ||||||
13 | working on his farm in his spare time; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Warren Booker Sr. was preceded in death by his | ||||||
15 | wife, Rose Marie; his parents; his sister; and eight brothers; | ||||||
16 | and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Warren Booker Sr. is survived by his son, Joe | ||||||
18 | (Kelly) Booker; his granddaughters, Kayla, and Amanda Weikert; | ||||||
19 | his brothers, Ken (Karen) Booker, and Larry Booker; and many | ||||||
20 | nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
3 | Warren Wayne Booker Sr., and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
4 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
5 | further

6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
7 | presented to the family of Warren Booker Sr. as an expression | ||||||
8 | of our deepest sympathy.
