SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Warren Wayne Booker Sr. of Milan, who
passed away on November 27, 2016; and
WHEREAS, Warren Booker Sr. was born in Riverton, Iowa to
David and Sussannah Evans Booker on July 14, 1935; he married
Rose Marie Hewett in Milan on December 23, 1964; he served in
the United States Navy; and
WHEREAS, Warren Booker Sr. worked for many years as a
welder at J.I. Case, retiring in 1997; and
WHEREAS, Warren Booker Sr. was a very hard worker; in his
younger years, he would come home from work and continue
working on his farm in his spare time; and
WHEREAS, Warren Booker Sr. was preceded in death by his
wife, Rose Marie; his parents; his sister; and eight brothers;
and
WHEREAS, Warren Booker Sr. is survived by his son, Joe
(Kelly) Booker; his granddaughters, Kayla, and Amanda Weikert;
his brothers, Ken (Karen) Booker, and Larry Booker; and many
nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Warren Wayne Booker Sr., and extend our sincere condolences to
his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Warren Booker Sr. as an expression
of our deepest sympathy.
