2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Raymond H. Beyer of Lindenhurst, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on November 2, 2016; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Raymond Beyer was born on August 16, 1922 in | ||||||
6 | Welch, Minnesota; he lived in North Chicago for most of his | ||||||
7 | adult life; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Raymond Beyer served as a naval armed guard in the | ||||||
9 | United States Navy during World War II; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Raymond Beyer retired in 1987 after 23 years of | ||||||
11 | service at North Chicago Community High School, beginning as a | ||||||
12 | custodian and working his way up to becoming the Facilities and | ||||||
13 | Energy Manager; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Raymond Beyer was a member of Holy Family Church, | ||||||
15 | Queen of Peace Church, and St. Mary of the Annunciation; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Raymond Beyer was preceded in death by his | ||||||
17 | parents; his sons, Jerome and Joseph; his granddaughter, | ||||||
18 | Jennifer; three brothers; and four sisters; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Raymond Beyer is survived by his loving wife of 72 |

1 | years, Elizabeth "Betty"; his children, John (Peg) Beyer, Jim | ||||||
2 | (Charlotte) Beyer, Linda Belski, Mike (Tricia) Beyer, Judy | ||||||
3 | Beyer, and Mary Beth (Lovat) Veitch; 11 grandchildren; 22 | ||||||
4 | great-grandchildren; his brothers, Henry and David Beyer; and | ||||||
5 | his sisters, Margaret Thompson and Esther Wilson; therefore, be | ||||||

7 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
8 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
9 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Raymond H. Beyer; and | ||||||
10 | be it further
