2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Anne N. Brinn of Rock Island, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on October 17, 2016; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Anne Brinn was born in West Hazleton, Pennsylvania | ||||||
6 | to Julia and George Neveras on January 8, 1916; she received | ||||||
7 | her registered nursing degree at St. Joseph's School of Nursing | ||||||
8 | in Philadelphia and served as a nurse in the United States Army | ||||||
9 | Nurse Corps during World War II; she married Robert W. Brinn in | ||||||
10 | Huntsville, Alabama on May 16, 1942; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Anne Brinn worked at the Veterans Hospital in | ||||||
12 | Washington, D.C. while her husband attended law school at | ||||||
13 | Georgetown University; they subsequently returned to reside in | ||||||
14 | Rock Island; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Anne Brinn was a member and past-President of the | ||||||
16 | Rock Island County Bar Auxiliary; she was a member and last of | ||||||
17 | the founders of The ARC of Rock Island County founded in 1952; | ||||||
18 | she was a charter member of the Women in Military Service for | ||||||
19 | America Memorial in Washington, D.C.; and

20 | WHEREAS, Anne Brinn was preceded in death by her husband, | ||||||
21 | Robert; her son, Robert H.; her parents; her four sisters; and |

1 | her four brothers; and
| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, Anne Brinn is survived by her son, Michael Brinn | ||||||
3 | (Jessica Brady), and her grandchildren, David Brinn and Kelly | ||||||
4 | Brinn; therefore, be it

5 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
7 | Anne N. Brinn, and extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
8 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
9 | further
| ||||||
10 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
11 | presented to the family of Anne Brinn as an expression of our | ||||||
12 | deepest sympathy.
