| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Heinz G. Veigel of Rock Island, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on October 4, 2016; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Heinz Veigel was born in Besigheim, Germany to | ||||||
| 6 | Emil and Martha (Wagnel) Veigel on June 28, 1939; he immigrated | ||||||
| 7 | to the United States at the age of 18 and enlisted in the | ||||||
| 8 | United States Army, serving four years; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Heinz Veigel worked for John Deere Harvester Works | ||||||
| 10 | for 34 years until his retirement; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Heinz Veigel was a Mason for 47 years at the Doric | ||||||
| 12 | Lodge-Ancient Free & Accepted Masons in Moline; he enjoyed | ||||||
| 13 | spending time with friends and family, especially during his | ||||||
| 14 | trips to Germany; he also enjoyed reading, fishing, and caring | ||||||
| 15 | for his dog, Lucky; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Heinz Veigel was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
| 17 | and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Heinz Veigel is survived by his son, Erich | ||||||
| 19 | (Courtney) Veigel; his daughter, Heidi (Rick) Veigel-Fetterer; | ||||||
| 20 | his grandchildren, Emily, Ethan, and E.J. Veigel, and Alec, | ||||||

| 1 | Jacob, Riley, and Reece Fetterer; his great-granddaughter, | ||||||
| 2 | Stella Fetterer; his sister and brother-in-law, Elsbeth and | ||||||
| 3 | G�nder Gerlach; and his nephew and niece, Ralph and Bettina | ||||||
| 4 | Gerlach; therefore, be it

| 5 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 7 | Heinz G. Veigel, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 8 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 9 | further

| 10 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
