| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Peter Durry of Moline, who passed away on | ||||||
| 4 | September 16, 2016; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Peter Durry was born on November 8, 1945 in Marie, | ||||||
| 6 | Arkansas; his parents were Walter and Viola Smith Durry; he | ||||||
| 7 | married Margaret Fulscher-Takantjas on October 25, 1980 in | ||||||
| 8 | Davenport, Iowa; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Peter Durry was a veteran of the United States Air | ||||||
| 10 | Force, serving from 1963 to 1967; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Peter Durry earned his master's degree in social | ||||||
| 12 | work at the University of Illinois; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Peter Durry was a licensed clinical social worker | ||||||
| 14 | at the VA hospital in Danville; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Peter Durry was a history buff and enjoyed working | ||||||
| 16 | on improvement projects around the house, his retirement, and | ||||||
| 17 | spending time with his family; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Peter Durry was preceded in death by his parents | ||||||
| 19 | and his grandson, Nicholas; and
| ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, Peter Durry is survived by his wife, Margaret | ||||||
| 2 | Durry; his children, Eileen (Steven) Pyevich, Jim Takantjas, | ||||||
| 3 | Tina Strieder, Melissa Swift, Christina (Tom) McCormick, Alex | ||||||
| 4 | (Edith) Takantjas, and Michael Durry; 12 grandchildren; and his | ||||||
| 5 | siblings, Mary (Earl) Fredrich, Paul (Terry) Durry, and | ||||||
| 6 | Patricia Durry; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 7 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 8 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
| 9 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Peter Durry; and be it | ||||||
| 10 | further

| 11 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 12 | presented to the family of Peter Durry as an expression of our | ||||||
