| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Kenneth Allen Whitney, who passed away at | ||||||
| 4 | the age of 59; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Whitney was born on August 7, 1957 in | ||||||
| 6 | Chicago; his parents were Gloria and Clifton Collins; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Whitney attended Amos A. Stagg Elementary | ||||||
| 8 | School and Calumet High School; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Whitney enjoyed music, particularly the | ||||||
| 10 | Commodores and Earth, Wind, and Fire; he enjoyed watching the | ||||||
| 11 | Chicago Bears and spending time with his grandchildren; he was | ||||||
| 12 | also known as a jack of all trades who was talented with home | ||||||
| 13 | repairs, plumbing, and painting; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Whitney was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 15 | parents and his nephew, Michael; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Whitney is survived by his children, | ||||||
| 17 | DeAngelo and Charlotta; his sisters, Karen and Dianna; his | ||||||
| 18 | grandchildren, Dimante, Diamond, Devonte, Derrick, Avonte, | ||||||
| 19 | Alexis, Ceonte, Kiarri, and Kenya; his nephew, Tyresius; his | ||||||
| 20 | nieces, Angela and Joyce; many cousins, other family members, | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | and friends; and his special friend, Diane; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
| 4 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Kenneth Allen Whitney; | ||||||
| 5 | and be it further
| ||||||
| 6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 7 | presented to the family of Kenneth Whitney as an expression of | ||||||
| 8 | our sympathy.
