SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Victor W. "Vic" "Grampe" Pavlich, who
passed away on December 1, 2018; and
WHEREAS, Vic Pavlich was born to Anton and Evelyn
(Stiglich) Pavlich on December 23, 1928; he was a veteran of
the United States Army and served in the Korean War; and
WHEREAS, Vic Pavlich was the Crest Hill Deputy Liquor
Commissioner and had earlier retired from the Army Corps of
Engineers; and
WHEREAS, Vic Pavlich was a member of Cantigny Post #367,
the Chance Club, and the Joliet Senior Club (table 8); he was
an active parishioner of St. Anne Catholic Church in Crest
Hill; he volunteered for the Lockport High School Reality
Program and at the Rialto Theater; he was an avid fan of the
Chicago Cubs, NASCAR, Homer Mustang Basketball, Lockport
Porter Basketball, and Providence Celtic Football; he could put
a smile on anyone's face; two of his greatest joys in life were
caring for his granddaughter and his great-grandson; and
WHEREAS, Vic Pavlich was preceded in death by his parents;
his in-laws, Dominic and Teresa Buffer; and his siblings,

Anthony, Lorraine, and Theresa; and
WHEREAS, Vic Pavlich is survived by his wife of 65 years,
Betty; his son, Bill; his daughter, Sharon Cullen; his
granddaughter, Michelle L. (Kevin) Lynn; his great-grandson,
Kevin Roy Lynn Jr.; his brothers, George (Ardis), Ed, Butch,
and Lenny; his sister, Anne Baudino; and his many nieces and
nephews; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Victor W. "Vic" "Grampe" Pavlich and extend our sincere
condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
him; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Victor Pavlich as an expression of
our deepest sympathy.
