2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Maurice R. Poling of Rock Island, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on November 26, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Maurice Poling was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana to | ||||||
6 | Ralph and Edna Schaefer Poling on September 10, 1932; he | ||||||
7 | graduated from the Indiana Institute of Technology as an | ||||||
8 | electrical engineer; he married Norma J. Glick in Fort Wayne on | ||||||
9 | July 11, 1953; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Maurice Poling retired from the Louis Allis | ||||||
11 | Company, where he worked as a sales engineer; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Maurice Poling was a United States Army veteran of | ||||||
13 | the Korean Conflict; he was a volunteer for the Mississippi | ||||||
14 | Valley Regional Blood Center and had been a Boy Scout leader; | ||||||
15 | he enjoyed woodworking, bird watching, sports, and music; he | ||||||
16 | especially loved his grandchildren; and

17 | WHEREAS, Maurice Poling was preceded in death by his | ||||||
18 | parents and his brother, Jerry Poling; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Maurice Poling is survived by his wife, Norma; his | ||||||
20 | sons, Randy (Laura) Poling, Ron (Aleksandra) Poling, Rick (Kim) |

2 | grandchildren; his step-grandchildren; his | ||||||
3 | great-grandchildren; his great-great-grandchildren; and his | ||||||

5 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
7 | Maurice R. Poling and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
8 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
9 | further

10 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
