2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Stanley D. "Stan" Larson of Moline, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on November 28, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Stan Larson was born in Moline to Donald R. and | ||||||
6 | Viola J. (Peterson) Larson on March 7, 1938; he served in the | ||||||
7 | U.S. Air Force and married Marsha A. Winthurst at Watertown | ||||||
8 | Baptist Church on January 14, 1960; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Stan Larson worked for the Augustana Bookstore, | ||||||
10 | DeSaulniers, and Mid-American Energy; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Stan Larson was a member of Wildwood Church; he | ||||||
12 | enjoyed being outdoors, camping, and golfing; he was an avid | ||||||
13 | fan of the Chicago Cubs; he loved being with his family and | ||||||
14 | being an involved grandparent; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Stan Larson was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
16 | his stepmother, Vernette Larson; and his stepsister, Rita | ||||||
17 | Smith; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Stan Larson is survived by his wife, Marsha; his | ||||||
19 | children, Julie (Gary) Overmire, Scott (Kathy) Larson, Karen | ||||||
20 | (Dane) Howell, and Leanne (Todd) Larison; eight grandchildren; |

1 | and eight great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
4 | Stanley D. "Stan" Larson and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
5 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
6 | further

7 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
