2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Dean Phillip Genung of Moline, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on November 5, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Dean Genung was born in Moline to Ralph and | ||||||
6 | Dorothy (Eisenhauer) Genung on February 26, 1943; he served in | ||||||
7 | the U.S. Army; he married Diann Wells and then Colleen Covert; | ||||||
8 | and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Dean Genung worked for John Deere Harvester for 30 | ||||||
10 | years, retiring in 1994; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Dean Genung was a member of Local 865; he was a | ||||||
12 | jack of all trades and a handyman; he enjoyed woodworking, | ||||||
13 | boating, rebuilding cars, and attending car shows; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Dean Genung was preceded in death by his parents | ||||||
15 | and his sister, Kay Lynnette Fath; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Dean Genung is survived by his wife, Colleen; his | ||||||
17 | son, David Genung; his sister, Audrey Ann (Ralph) Edgar; his | ||||||
18 | stepson, Jeff (Sherri) Papish; his stepgrandchildren, Whitney | ||||||
19 | (Donald) Baccus, Jimmy Polk, Nicole Polk, and Megan (Jerry) | ||||||
20 | Leihsing; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Dayton, |

2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
4 | Dean Phillip Genung and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
5 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
