2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Gregory J. Struck, who passed away on | ||||||
4 | July 23, 2016; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Gregory Struck was born on August 16, 1935 in | ||||||
6 | Chicago; his parents were Frank and Columbia Struck; he married | ||||||
7 | Dora Clark on November 7, 1964; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Gregory Struck served in the United States Army; | ||||||
9 | and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Gregory Struck worked as a mechanic for United | ||||||
11 | Airlines for many years until his retirement; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Gregory Struck was an avid collector, especially | ||||||
13 | of stamps and coins; he also enjoyed golfing, buying and | ||||||
14 | selling his collections on eBay, and watching Chicago sports | ||||||
15 | teams; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Gregory Struck is preceded in death by his | ||||||
17 | parents; his brothers, Frank and Gilbert; and his sister, | ||||||
18 | Geraldine; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Gregory Struck is survived by his wife, Dorie; his |

1 | children, Elizabeth (Jeffrey) Grant, Amy (Dennis) Eggers, and | ||||||
2 | Steven (Erin) Struck; his grandchildren, Grace, James, | ||||||
3 | Katelyn, Megan, William, Jack, Simon, and Emmett; his brother, | ||||||
4 | Marvin (Phyllis) Struck; and many nieces and nephews; | ||||||
5 | therefore, be it

6 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
7 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
8 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Gregory J. Struck; and | ||||||
9 | be it further
| ||||||
10 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
11 | presented to the family of Gregory Struck as an expression of | ||||||
12 | our sympathy.
