SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Elizabeth R. "Betty" Napleton; and
WHEREAS, Elizabeth Napleton and her husband, Fran
Napleton, were co-founders of the Napleton Auto Group, a
multi-state group of auto dealerships; and
WHEREAS, Elizabeth Napleton was preceded in death by her
parents, Robert W. and Evelyn Shea Raynor; her sister, Patricia
(Leroy) Utterback; her brothers, Garnet (Marilyn) Raynor and
Robert Raynor; she was the devoted daughter-in-law of the late
Edward and Cordula Napleton, the loving sister-in-law of the
late Harry and Rita Carney, and the fun-loving aunt and friend
to many and proud United States Navy World War II veterans; and
WHEREAS, Elizabeth Napleton was the beloved wife of 60
years of the late Francis E. Napleton; the loving mother of
Ellen (James) Roche, Edward (Katherine) Napleton, Stephen
(Carol) Napleton, Gerald (Maribeth) Napleton, Paul (Kathleen)
Napleton, Mimi (Daniel) Collins, William (Mary) Napleton, and
Robert (Clare) Napleton; the cherished grandmother of 34; and
the great-grandmother of 22; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL

ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
family and friends, mourn the passing of Elizabeth R. "Betty"
Napleton; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Elizabeth Napleton as an expression
of our sympathy.
