SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Chester J. "Chet" Wangeline of Coal
Valley, who passed away on October 17, 2018; and
WHEREAS, Chet Wangeline was born in Aledo to Chester H. and
Elaine (Mulvey) Wangeline on May 21, 1943; he was a veteran of
the United States Air Force and served during the Vietnam War;
he married Janet Anderson in Moline on July 22, 1967; she
preceded him in death in 1990; he then married Beth Terstriep
in Moline on June 13, 2003; and
WHEREAS, Chet Wangeline retired from Heartland Health Care
Center in Moline in 2011; and
WHEREAS, Chet Wangeline was preceded in death by his
brother, Rick; and
WHEREAS, Chet Wangeline is survived by his wife, Beth; his
daughter, Crystal (Shawn) Mulica; his stepchildren, Lori
(Bill) White, James (Jennifer) Terstriep, and William (Erin)
Terstriep; his 11 grandchildren; his two great-grandsons; his
sisters, Kathy (Ken) Carlson and Patricia (Sam) Masterson; and
his brother, Ken (Donna) Wangeline; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Chester J. "Chet" Wangeline and extend our sincere condolences
to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Chet Wangeline as an expression of
our deepest sympathy.
