SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Melissa Lynn Kellerhals of Paxton, who
4passed away on July 10, 2016; and
5 WHEREAS, Melissa Kellerhals was born on May 5, 1979 in
6Gibson City; her parents were Ray and Linda Kellerhals; and
7 WHEREAS, Melissa Kellerhals was a 1997 graduate of
8Paxton-Buckley-Loda High School; she attended Columbia College
9in Chicago and Parkland College in Champaign; and
10 WHEREAS, Melissa Kellerhals was an assistant director for
11group homes for developmentally disabled adults; she also
12worked at Heartland Healthcare Center in Paxton; and
13 WHEREAS, Melissa Kellerhals was a very active member of the
14Hope Vineyard Church of Paxton, where she served as a youth
15leader and played in the church band; she enjoyed music and
16singing; and
17 WHEREAS, Melissa Kellerhals was preceded in death by her
18brother, Scott Kellerhals, and her grandfathers; and
19 WHEREAS, Melissa Kellerhals is survived by her parents; her

1son, Ethan Perry; her brother, Michael Kellerhals; her maternal
2grandmother, Doris Stamm; her paternal grandmother, Louise
3Kellerhals; her special sister, DeDe Wood; and several aunts,
4uncles, and cousins; therefore, be it
5 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
7family and friends, mourn the passing of Melissa Lynn
8Kellerhals; and be it further
9 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Melissa Kellerhals as an expression
11of our sympathy.
