SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Donald G. Knowlton of Genoa City,
4Wisconsin, who passed away on June 27, 2016; and
5 WHEREAS, Donald Knowlton was born on February 6, 1935 in
6Barron, Wisconsin; his parents were Duane and Ida Knowlton; he
7married Mary Beall on October 30, 1955 in Mendota; and
8 WHEREAS, Donald Knowlton worked as a lineman and service
9technician for GTE for 43 years until his retirement in 1993;
10he was also a volunteer fireman for the Richmond Fire
11Department for over 20 years; and
12 WHEREAS, Donald Knowlton was a member of the Richmond Lions
13Club, the Loyal Order of Moose, and the Genoasnowers Snowmobile
14Club; and
15 WHEREAS, Donald Knowlton was preceded in death by his wife,
16Mary; his parents; his daughter-in-law, Cindi Knowlton; and his
17sisters, Charlotte Manning, Janet Blackwell, and Connie
18Drummer; and
19 WHEREAS, Donald Knowlton is survived by his sons, Rick
20(Mariann) Knowlton, Ron (Debra) Knowlton, and Rob (Marcy)

1Knowlton; his grandchildren, Jennifer Osborne, Brian and
2Bradley Knowlton, Amanda Cunningham, Gail Beyer, and Donnie,
3Carrie, and Robbie Knowlton; 13 great-grandchildren; his
4sisters, Marlene Sloan, Marilyn (Ron) Hopps, Kathie (Kent)
5Biederstedt, Barb Heinzeroth, and Bev (Jim) Muzzarelli; and his
6brothers, Delbert (Geneva) Knowlton, Pete (Linda) Knowlton,
7Bill (Kathy) Knowlton, Kevin (Lori) Knowlton, and Larry
8(Martha) Knowlton; therefore, be it
9 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
11family and friends, mourn the passing of Donald G. Knowlton;
12and be it further
13 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Donald Knowlton as an expression of
15our sympathy.
